Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Alta-Aurelia

While Alta-Aurelia's win against East Sac County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Raiders 4-3 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alta-Aurelia pushed their record up to 2-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average this season. As for East Sac County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alta-Aurelia will venture away from home to challenge Akron-Westfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Sac County, they will square off against Pocahontas at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
