Basketball Game Preview: Seffner Christian Crusaders vs. Lake Gibson Braves

Having just played yesterday, the Seffner Christian Crusaders will get right back to it and host the Lake Gibson Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Seffner Christian is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Carrollwood Day, falling 94-69. The game was a 42-42 toss-up at halftime, but the Crusaders couldn't quite close it out.

Lake Gibson hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 68-57 win over Newsome on Wednesday. The victory almost wasn't to be: the Braves were down 36-22 in the second quarter.

Lake Gibson found their leader in sophomore A'Darrion Willis, who posted 32 points. The contest was Willis' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Cameron Cottingham was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Lake Gibson's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Seffner Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
