Baseball Game Preview: Ball Tornadoes vs. Santa Fe Indians

Ball is 2-8 against Santa Fe since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Ball will be playing at home against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m.

Ball is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game two weeks ago. They lost 21-1 to La Porte. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Texas City on Friday. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.

Santa Fe's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Johnathan Fraire, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Santa Fe is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. Ball's loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Ball skirted past Santa Fe 4-3 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Ball repeat their success, or does Santa Fe has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
