Isle of Wight Academy gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on the Arcadia Firebirds with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Chargers have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Isle of Wight Academy pushed their record up to 6-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Isle of Wight Academy has already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Southampton Academy on the 25th. As for Arcadia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Chincoteague on the 29th.
