Quitman skates past Purvis with ease

Recap: Quitman Panthers vs. Purvis Tornadoes

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Quitman Panthers walked away with it. They took their match at home on Monday with ease, bagging a 60-32 victory over the Tornadoes. Quitman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.

AUDRIANA HARRIS was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahyla Dubuse, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Purvis' loss came despite strong showings from Systren Eliza Elenus and Zoey Robinson. Eliza Elenus scored 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Robinson scored four points along with 13 rebounds and five blocks. Eliza Elenus is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Quitman, bringing their record for this year to 23-5. As for Purvis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Quitman will face off against Raymond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Quitman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday. Purvis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
