Lawrence Academy and the Raiders are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2022, but not for long. The Lawrence Academy Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lawrence Academy entered their tilt with the Colts with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Lawrence Academy claimed a resounding 80-19 win over the Colts on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Lawrence Academy just coasted through the last quarter.

Lawrence Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Patrick Lundy, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and five assists, and Carter Hoggard, who scored 15 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoggard has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ben Woodard, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and four blocks.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Pungo Christian Academy's strategy against the Eagles on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pungo Christian Academy blew the Eagles out of the water with a 67-18 final score. Given Pungo Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Eagles are ranked 677th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lawrence Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Pungo Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-4.
