West Point entered their tilt with Columbus on Monday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Columbus Falcons as they made off with an 11-1 victory. With that win, the Green Wave brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Louis Facella tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and only a hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Quenshawn Posely and J'Michael Strong did most of the damage at the plate: Posely scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Strong scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Posely a new career-high in RBI (two). Reco Collins was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

West Point pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs over those games. As for Columbus, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, West Point will challenge Grenada at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus, they will host Kemper Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
