Football Game Preview: Poynette Pumas vs. Howards Grove Tigers

The Poynette Pumas will host the Howards Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poynette will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Poynette really took it to Fall River/Rio for the full four quarters, racking up a 44-14 win. The Pumas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 60 points the game before, Howards Grove was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a hard 27-12 fall against Pius XI Catholic.

Poynette's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Howards Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Poynette barely slipped by Howards Grove in their previous matchup back in August of 2021, winning 23-22. Will the Pumas repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
