Taconic took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mount Greylock Regional, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Thunder had just enough and edged out the Mounties 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Thunder: when they faced off against the Mounties two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Taconic was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (119-104), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 25-23, 24-26, 29-27, 6-25, 20-18.

Taconic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Taconic will venture away from home to challenge Baystate Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Greylock Regional, they will welcome Ludlow at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
