Recap: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Amarillo Sandies
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Bel Air Highlanders couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a serious blow against Amarillo on Friday, falling 49-0. It was the first time this season that Bel Air let down their fans at home.
Noah Moreno threw for 84 yards on 11 of 24 attempts. Mark Mukiibi was his top target, picking up 42 receiving yards. On the ground, Zach Martinez rushed for 60 yards.
Bel Air's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Amarillo, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5.
Bel Air does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Amarillo will square off against Red Oak at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Oak is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
