Football Preview: Normal University Pioneers vs. Lincoln Railsplitters        
        
		
             The Normal University Pioneers will square off against the Lincoln Railsplitters at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The timing is sure in Normal University's favor as the  team sits on seven straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Lincoln has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
 Normal University will head into Friday's  matchup on the come-up: they were handed a three-point  defeat in their last  match, but they sure didn't let that happen against MacArthur  on Friday. Normal University breezed by MacArthur at home  to the tune of  48-7. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  41-0.
  Alek Weiland was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Normal University also got help from  AJ Holden, who showed off his sure hands for 85  receiving yards.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 41  points the game before, Lincoln was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Friday. They were beaten by Rochester 63-7. The loss was the Railsplitters' first of the season.
 Normal University now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lincoln, their  loss was their first of the  season and also makes their record 2-1.
 Everything went Normal University's way against Lincoln in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023 as Normal University made off with  a  49-28 win. Does  Normal University have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
