Preview: Seminole Seminoles vs. Lake Minneola Hawks
Seminole has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Lake Minneola Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Seminole was able to grind out a solid win over DeLand, taking the game 46-36.
Meanwhile, Lake Minneola put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-35 margin over South Lake. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Lake Minneola considering their zero-point performance the match before.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Minneola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aliyah Perry, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eva Saunders, who scored ten points along with seven steals.
Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Lake Minneola, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7.
