Basketball Recap: Randolph Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Randolph won the last time they faced Gowanda and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Randolph Cardinals enjoyed a cozy 66-49 victory over the Gowanda Panthers. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Panthers are ranked 596th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Randolph's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for Gowanda, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph will venture away from home to challenge Hamburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gowanda, they will head out on the road to face off against Falconer at 11:00 a.m. on February 20th.
