Basketball Recap: Adrian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If Adrian was feeling good fresh off their 57-34 takedown of Southwest Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Adrian Antelopes took an 83-68 bruising from the Nixyaawii Community Eagles on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), the Antelopes still had to take the loss.

Adrian's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Nixyaawii Community, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adrian will challenge Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adrian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Cove likes a good challenge. As for Nixyaawii Community, they will head out on the road to face off against Jordan Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
