Volleyball Game Preview: Scotts Valley Falcons vs. Half Moon Bay Cougars + How To Watch

Scotts Valley is 0-3 against Half Moon Bay since August of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Falcons will host the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Two weeks ago, Scotts Valley made easy work of Soquel and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-14.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Half Moon Bay rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since September 20th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Half Moon Bay who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25, 18-16.

Half Moon Bay's victory bumped their record up to 14-16. As for Scotts Valley, their win bumped their record up to 21-5.

Scotts Valley suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Half Moon Bay in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
