East Lansing had already won 19 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 20 on Thursday. They blew past the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants, posting a 77-42 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Leading East Lansing to victory were Cameron Hutson and Kelvin (KJ) Torbert, Jr.. Hutson shot 69% from the field to rack up 23 points and five boards, while Torbert, Jr. went 8-for-13 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. Hutson's big performance that evening made it 14 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce (JL) Branson, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points and five boards.

East Lansing's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Kalamazoo Central, they moved to 19-5 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, East Lansing will be taking part in a tournament against Huron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huron knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully East Lansing likes a good challenge. Kalamazoo Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
