Greensburg came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 59-42 victory over the Connersville Spartans. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Connersville's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadan Peterson, who posted ten points. Zander McHenry was another key player, putting up eight points.

Greensburg's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Connersville, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Greensburg won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Connersville, they will venture away from home to take on Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
