Game recap: Clearfield High School Football Team bests Bradford

CLEARFIELD, Pa. - Christian Lezzer ran for three touchdowns and Tyler Stratton added two as well as Clearfield (Pa.) bested Bradford (Pa.) 49-0 on Saturday.

The Bison were up 42-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Lezzer touchdown run in the first quarter.

A 28-point second quarter helped Clearfield secure the big victory. CHS scored on a touchdown run by Stratton, a Lezzer touchdown run, a touchdown run by Stratton and a Lezzer touchdown pass to Shawn Lord in the quarter.

The Bison's most effective player was Lezzer. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored 22 touchdowns on the season.



Clearfield went into the matchup giving up only 14.8 points per game. The Owls' zero points were well below their season average of 16.0 per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Bradford, which notched a 24-12 victory over St. Marys in its previous outing.
