Volleyball Recap: Killingly Comes Up Short

Killingly lost against Norwich Free Academy back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trailbazers lost 3-0 to the Wildcats. The Trailbazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-18.

Norwich Free Academy found their leader in freshman Janiah Carter, who had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Carter.

Killingly's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Norwich Free Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Killingly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norwich Free Academy, they will square off against East Lyme at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
