It was a good run, but Bishop Ready unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-1 to the Bexley Lions. The Silver Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Bishop Ready saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Cheatham, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. AJ Caputo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bishop Ready's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bexley, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5-1.

Coming up, Bishop Ready will square off against Grandview Heights at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bexley, they will challenge Columbus Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
