Softball Game Preview: Regina vs. Mercy Marlins

Regina and Mercy are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. Regina will welcome Mercy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Regina is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Regina came up short against Romeo on Saturday, falling 11-5.

Lorelei Mahon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Ryska, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Mercy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Howell 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Marlins.

Mercy's win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Regina, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
