Soccer Game Preview: Nogales vs. Maricopa

The Nogales Apaches will take on the Maricopa Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Maricopa took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Nogales, who comes in off a win.

Nogales got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They blew past Desert View 4-1 on Tuesday. The Apaches might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Maricopa's offense. They came up short against Catalina Foothills on Tuesday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Falcons are ranked 23rd).

The win made it two in a row for Nogales and bumps their season record up to 4-5-1. As for Maricopa, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-5.
