Softball Recap: Nashville Christian Eagles vs. Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Nashville Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars by a score of 9-4. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 9-7 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2021.

Anadia Hinton was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Amelia Page was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since April 1st. Addison Oberbreckling was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
The victory got Nashville Christian back to even at 11-11. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
Nashville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Central Magnet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
