Basketball Recap: Yuba City Triumphs

River Valley came into Friday's match looking for another win against Yuba City, but Jay Rai wouldn't allow it. The Yuba City Honkers secured a 52-46 W over the River Valley Falcons on Friday thanks in part to Rai, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Armstrong, who had a point and three steals. Those three steals gave him a new career-high.

River Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Yuvraj Dosanjh, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Manraj Sarai, who earned ten points and eight rebounds.

Yuba City's win bumped their record up to 8-17. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Coincidentally, Yuba City and River Valley will both be playing Del Campo the next time they take the court. Yuba City will head out to face Del Campo at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while River Valley will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
