Baseball Recap: Queen City Takes a Loss

Queen City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Hooks Hornets, falling 11-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 back in March.

Queen City's loss dropped their record down to 7-15-1. As for Hooks, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-11.

Queen City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hooks, they will take on Hughes Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
