Aquinas won the last time they faced Sparta, and Adelaide Bezemek did her part to make sure it happened again. The Blugolds put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday for which the team can thank Bezemek, who had 18 digs and one block. She has been hot recently, having also posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Despite the loss, Sparta saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Kent had 14 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, Kent is now averaging an impressive 10.3 digs per game.

Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Sparta, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coincidentally, Aquinas and Sparta will both be playing La Crosse Central the next time they take the court. The Spartans will head out to face the Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Blugolds will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
