Softball Recap: Plymouth Christian Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Plymouth Christian Academy came out on top against Inter-City Baptist on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Chargers. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Sophie Paryaski was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chloe Paryaski, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Ellie Weertz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Plymouth Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inter-City Baptist only posted a batting average of .250.

Plymouth Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Inter-City Baptist, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
