Volleyball Recap: Out-Of-Door Academy Starts Season with Win Against Palmetto

Out-of-Door Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Palmetto Tigers by a score of 3-1. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Out-of-Door Academy was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-17, 22-25, 25-15.

Out-of-Door Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Scarlett Vella led the charge by getting five digs and five aces. That's the most digs Vella has posted since back in August of 2024.

Out-of-Door Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Southwest Florida Christian on the 22nd. As for Palmetto, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Booker on the 20th.
