Softball Recap: Goodhue Comes Up Short

The matchup between Goodhue and Houston on Thursday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats lost 15-9 to the Hurricanes. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Aubrey Christianson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Hazel Volkmann also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Goodhue's record now sits at 1-6. As for Houston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goodhue will welcome Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston, they will be playing at home against Rushford-Peterson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
