Sparta scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the High Point Wildcats by a score of 15-13. The Spartans have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for High Point, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Sparta will venture away from home to challenge Randolph at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for High Point, they will host Lenape Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
