Volleyball Recap: Dugger Union Takes a Loss

Dugger Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Riverton Parke Panthers, falling 3-0. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-20, 25-4.

Despite the loss, Dugger Union saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Karleigh Disney had nine digs and one assist.

Dugger Union's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Riverton Parke, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Dugger Union has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Clay City on the 16th. As for Riverton Parke, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cloverdale on the 16th.
