South Texas Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 76-12 victory over Juan Diego Academy. South Texas Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Texas Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leonardo Rodrigues, who dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rodrigues has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Armenta, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.

Meanwhile, Tournament Opponent fought the good fight in their overtime game against First Baptist on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. Tournament Opponent has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Texas Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for Tournament Opponent, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 62-249 record this season.

South Texas Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Tournament Opponent in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 40-33.
