Baseball Game Preview: Sierra Canyon Trailblazers vs. Castaic Coyotes

The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers will take on the Castaic Coyotes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sierra Canyon 3.2, Castaic 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Sierra Canyon took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Notre Dame (SO) with a sharp 10-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Castaic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 5-1 to Valencia.

Castaic saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chad Kober, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Castaic's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Sierra Canyon, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Sierra Canyon was able to grind out a solid win over Castaic in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 5-0. Does Sierra Canyon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Castaic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
