Baseball Recap: Goode STEM Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Hubbard on Wednesday, Goode STEM Academy came back down to earth. The Knights took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Curie Condors on Thursday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Condors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Goode STEM Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Curie, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

Goode STEM Academy will square off against Back of the Yards College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.4 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Curie, they will face off against Farragut at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Condors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Admirals have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
