National High School Baseball Record Book

}MaxPreps continues to add to its list of high school records with the posting of its National High School Baseball Record Book.

The record book will include a link on the "baseball" drop down menu and will include career, single season, and single game records along with records for an inning and "consecutive" records. The record categories, and the minimum qualifying criteria, are based on the records listed in the National High School Federation of High Schools record book.

Sources for the record book include the NFHS record book and state association record books for Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, and Virginia.

Other sources include coaches association record books for Indiana, Iowa and Oklahoma; the Georgia Dugout Preview, Tennessee Baseball Report, the Kansas Hall of Fame, John Smillie's Mississippi Baseball Record Book, Bill McMurray's Texas Record Book (updated by MaxPreps) and the Cal-Hi Sports Record Book and Almanac by Nelson Tennis and Mark Tennis.



There are no official record books for Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin. There is no high school baseball in Montana or Wyoming and the state association does not sanction the sport in South Dakota.
