Baseball Game Preview: North Marion Huskies vs. Bridgeport Indians

North Marion hasn't had much luck against Bridgeport recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Huskies will take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

North Marion is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since April 10th on Friday. They fell just short of John Marshall by a score of 3-1. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport faced Frankfort in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Indians lost 9-2 to the Falcons.

Bridgeport has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season. As for North Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

North Marion suffered a grim 18-1 defeat to Bridgeport when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
