Basketball Recap: St. Francis Takes a Loss

St. Francis blew Maranatha out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Maranatha got their revenge. The St. Francis Golden Knights fell just short of the Maranatha Minutemen by a score of 48-45. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Golden Knights came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Minutemen are ranked 771st).

St. Francis moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Maranatha, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

St. Francis will head out to challenge La Canada at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. As for Maranatha, they will take on Clovis North in a tournament on Thursday.
