Baseball Recap: Juniata Comes Up Short

Juniata came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Halifax Wildcats, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on April 4th.

Juniata saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Auker, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Juniata's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Halifax, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Juniata is set to take on their familiar foe Upper Dauphin Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Halifax will square off against rival Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
