Baseball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brookhaven Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 11-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2025.

Mikkah Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brookhaven, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Richland will venture away from home to take on Pelahatchie at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brookhaven, they will head out to square off against Pearl at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
