Hilltop is 7-1 against Pettisville since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cadets will take on the Blackbirds at 5:00 p.m. Hilltop is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Pettisville's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Hilltop on Monday. The Blackbirds blew past Stryker 15-5. The Blackbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

Caden Bishop was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Creighton Aeschliman was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Warner, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Pettisville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6. As for Hilltop, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Hilltop skirted past Pettisville 5-4 in their previous matchup on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
