Recap: Southern Valley Eagles vs. Blue Hill Bobcats
The Southern Valley Eagles waltzed into their contest Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Blue Hill by a score of 52-42. 52 seems to be a good number for Southern Valley as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Southern Valley found their leader in underclassman Isaac Hamilton, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Rian Grove was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists.
Southern Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Blue Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Southern Valley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Arapahoe at 7:15 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Arapahoe is ranked 131st, while Southern Valley is ranked 120th). Blue Hill won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wallace on December 29th. Hopefully Wallace focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Thursday.
