Softball Recap: First Coast Christian Comes Up Short

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, First Coast Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They came up short against the Harvest Community Warriors, falling 20-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

First Coast Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Harvest Community, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Coast Christian will challenge Eagle's View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.17 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Harvest Community, they will square off against St. Johns Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
