It was a good run, but Southside unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the St. Thomas More Cougars by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Sharks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for St. Thomas More, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Southside will challenge Erath at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.04 runs per game on average), something the Sharks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Thomas More, they will head out on the road to take on Sam Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their 24th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
