Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamilton). They came out on top against the Cesar Chavez Champions by a score of 75-67 on Thursday. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 71-62 victory the Champions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Despite the loss, Cesar Chavez still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Briones, who went 11 of 19 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. Briones' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lex Clontz, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 21 points.

Hamilton pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Cesar Chavez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Hamilton has already played their next matchup, a 56-51 victory against Gilbert on the 13th. As for Cesar Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 85-49 defeat against O'Connor on the 13th.
