            Volleyball Recap: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Lovett Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Coahulla Creek lost against Lovett back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Colts took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.
 Coahulla Creek was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the  second set very close. The final score came out to 25-7,  25-22.
 Alyce Norton paced Coahulla Creek's offense, picking up nine kills. Norton got some help from  Maddy Hambright and her 11 assists. Finally,  Gracie Moore kept Coahulla Creek's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
 Lovett got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kate Kennedy out in front who  had 13  assists and three  digs. Kennedy is  on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's  now  posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's  played.  Ali Wainwright was another key player,  getting 11  assists and five  digs.
Coahulla Creek's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-13. As for Lovett, the  victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.
 Coahulla Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  2-0  loss against Daniel on the 20th. As for Lovett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against St. Vincent's on the 20th.
