Baseball Recap: Ashton-Franklin Center Takes a Loss

If Ashton-Franklin Center was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Polo on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell just short of the Morrison Mustangs by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Brock Lehman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Caleb Thomas, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Ashton-Franklin Center's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Morrison, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-7.

While Ashton-Franklin Center had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
