Baseball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bloomfield on Monday, Caldwell came back down to earth. The Chiefs lost 11-1 to the Nutley Maroon Raiders on Wednesday. The Chiefs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Maroon Raiders earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Dean Tahbaz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Nutley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Caldwell will challenge West Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nutley, they will square off against St. Benedict's Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
