Recap: NSU University Sharks vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons
Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 33% better than the opposition, a fact the NSU University Sharks proved on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Palmer Trinity 80-39 at home. Given NSU University's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Palmer Trinity is ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Anthony Ferrer, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Donahue, who scored 10 points.
When it comes to explaining why Palmer Trinity lost, one person who can't be blamed is Graham Yanowitch. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Yanowitch scored a full 41% of Palmer Trinity's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jake Keller was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
NSU University now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Palmer Trinity, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
NSU University will stay at home for another game and welcome Monsignor Pace at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. As for Palmer Trinity, they will head out on the road to face off against Gulliver Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gulliver Prep has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
