Baseball Game Preview: Concordia Cardinals vs. Vanguard College Prep Vikings

For the second straight game, Concordia will face off against Vanguard College Prep. The Cardinals will face off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Concordia is looking for their season's first win.

Concordia lost 18-4 to Vanguard College Prep on Tuesday.

For Vanguard College Prep's part, Braylen Schupbach and Drew Howard made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Schupbach tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Howard pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Vanguard College Prep: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 1-2 otherwise. The victory made it two in a row for Vanguard College Prep and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Concordia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
