Basketball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah lost to Inola back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Longhorns. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Longhorns are ranked 61st).

Sequoyah's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Inola, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

Sequoyah has already played their next contest (against Jay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Inola also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Salina.
